Long gone are the days where buses from the likes of Western Welsh, South Wales Transport, United Welsh, Neath & Cardiff,  Red & White and Cream Line would rub shoulders at this bus station. Once upon a time, Neath could boast four bus garages. Western Welsh, at Cwrt Herbert, United Welsh, at Neath Abbey, South Wales Transport, Eastland Road and N & C at James Street. Here we see South Wales Transport (Neath) LTD, outnumber First Cymru buses by 5 to 2.

Just a pity that the (new) South Wales Transport doesn't paint its buses in the proper colour for a firm of that name .........

The only depot's vehicles that can be seen in Neath nowadays is South Wales Transport's depot in Neath (all SWT services), First's Pontardawe outstation (122, 132, 158) and First's Port Talbot depot serving all the other First services there.
