Stagecoach 20824 (P824 FVU)

The first of a few shots of Stagecoach's Alexander PS-bodied Volvo B10Ms wearing 'white and stripes' livery and operating for Merthyr depot's Brecon outstation.

 

20824 was acquired with 20825 and 20826 from Cheltenham & Gloucester in 2003, having been new to the Manchester fleet.  All three remain in service at Merthyr depot, usually based at Brecon for Service 39 (Brecon-Hay-on-Wye-Hereford).

 

Here it is seen arriving at the Bulwark in Brecon in April 2004 on Service 63 (Swansea-Ystradgynlais-Sennybridge-Brecon), which passed to Veolia, as Service X63, in 2007.

Nice to see what one of the two main local services that pass my home used to be like... rumoured that it's highly likely Stagecoach will once again operate the route (although as X63) once Veolia go so we could well see history repeating itself.
