The latest arrival from Dunn Line at Veolia's Treforest depot is this 17 year old Alexander PS-bodied Volvo B10M, which is from a batch of 91 new to Stagecoach's Cumberland fleet.

Four from the batch operated for Stagecoach's South Wales fleet as 20706-9 (K706-9 DAO) until a couple of years ago.

It is seen turning into Gelliwastad Road, Pontypridd in January 2010, operating former Bebb Service 100 (Pontypridd-Beddau).

This is actually older than the L-registration Marshall C33-bodied Volvo B6s that Bebb received for the service way back in 1994.

Lovely picture Barrie, imposing backdrop there - a point well made
about the vehicle age, I was thinking the same sort of thing myself.

I wish you hadn't mentioned those B6's,I still get nightmares about them.
The only service buses I remember at Bebb of J/K vintage were Carlyle bodied Sherpas !!!!!!!!! and a pair of Iveco Dailys as seen on the photo.

I omitted that 20769-71 (K769-71 DAO) from the same batch were loaned
by Stagecoach North West to the South Wales fleet last July following
the arson and vandalism attacks at Aberdare and Merthyr depots, though
I'm not aware that any were used in service.

They weren't.

Regarding the vehicles now used on the 100 all I can say is 'Lord, have mercy' - and that's not just because I've just run off tomorrow's sermon!
