and here is ASV, which was in Leominster.

It seems to me that this so-called torch “relay” is a bit of a con, as there must be two convoys, with one jumping ahead of the other.  e.g. the last stage of the torch relay ended in Leominster at about 1345, and the next stage was due to start in Ludlow at 1357.  It is physically impossible to travel from Leominster to Ludlow (about 12 miles) in 8 minutes !   the same situation arises if you look at the timings for other places and days.     http://www.london2012.com/torch-relay/route/

Does anyone know if Pete Morgan is driving in the Swansea stage on Saturday / Sunday.

I understand that Mr P wasn't chosen because he'd stop for every photographer and lose time. Lol.

CN12 ASV was the vehicle in Ludlow behind the torch. CN12ARO was the first of the advance vehicles well in front of the sponsors' vehicles. Where was ASV in your photo?

Glyn,

It was the first vehicle to arrive, and parked up ahead of the rest of the convoy.  There was only one ex-Malta bus in Leominster - SKR 801G (the one with the cut-away rear).

Same single ex Malta vehicle was in Ludlow. There were also two Volvos: BT11BUZ immediately behind the torch and BT08BUZ with the sponsors' vehicles. I am certain there is only one convoy but it looks like the roles of the support vehicles alternate.

There does appear to be only one convoy, as the open platform Maltese bus has appeared everywhere so far. Continuous progress can be followed on the BBC website during the day as they have webcams fitted to the vehicles. They are very slick and work to tight schedules.

Thanks, Dave & Glyn.

I’m still mystified as to how it could have got to Ludlow on time, or perhaps it was just late arriving there.

Was due at 1.57pm but was a few minutes late but not a lot. Of course they do not have to bother with traffic lights etc and the sponsors vehicles can get well ahead whilst the runners have the torch.
