I am writing an article about Blue Belle Coaching of Brixton, which business, together with its fleet, passed to Red * White in 1939. The vehicles transferred included five Duple-bodied Albion Valkyries, three of which had observation coach-type bodies. The remainder were AEC Regals with bodywork by London Lorries, ten again being of the 'raised deck' observation coach style. Most of the Regals were rebodied shortly after purchase. I am anxious to obtain photographs of these coaches in Red & White servce to illustrate the article and wonder if anyone might be able to help. Any photographs used will of course be credited to the hotographer.  Any assistance will be very much appreciated.

So glad you are writing an article on Blue Belle which I look forward to reading. I have a photo of Albion EJJ 476 (photographer unknown) and Regal AGP 842 (Roy Marshall) both as observation coaches in R&W livery. I also have photos of other Blue Belle vehicles in R&W livery. I have just uploaded a revised R&W fleet list to my website which gives details of the Blue Belle vehicles transferred to R&W. I would appreciate if you could take a look and let me know of any errors or omissions. I only have 8 of the 10 Regals with a gap for 2 more at 732/733.

I was in contact with John Greenough in Australia about 5 years ago who used to work for United Service Transport in the 1940s and remembered the Blue Belle vehicles some of which apparently passed to them after R&W. Not sure if he is still online. If you are interested I will look out the emails and copy them to  you.

regards
Richard

I have some photos of Blue Belle vehicles before they passed to R&W
taken by my mother when the Regals were new.

Richard,
I have just received what I believe to be a complete and accurate fleet list of Blue Belle. I will check it against the information on your website and let you know of any discrepancies. I would also be interested in the photos you mention. Would it be easier to contact me direct on: kraemer...@gmail.com   ?
Best wishes, Glyn.
