any major new feature or user interface change for 2.0? when? e.g.,
christmas or new year or chinese new year?

my only concern is about *simple* preference configuration for users.
i prefer global settings to per-site ones because it is much easier to
configure; i am too lazy to change any setting until it turns out to
be a must (and i would be annoyed in this case).

Take the current site panel for example.
* encoding: it seems unavoidable, only if welly could recognize it
automatically (sounds not so crazy).
* ansi color key: does any one change that ever?
* mouse browsing: does some one prefer to use mouse only for some
sites but not for others?
* double byte detection: no idea at all. maybe a problem for very old sites.
* auto reply: does it really vary from site to site?

i wish a user could simply go through the "new site" like this:
1. default in telnet (enable to select ssh).
2. input site name (and port if necessary).
3. input user name (probably also password, and store them in keychain).
and, done!

ansi color key: when browsing BIG5 sites, they might want ^U instead of double ESC
mouse browsing: since we have not made mouse support for all sites, in some sites there might be some problem makes the mouse support sux and the user might want to turn it off.
double byte: I guess we should remove it. It seems nobody use this.
auto reply: well, this is my fault. When I add this feature I'm not familiar with the code yet, so I have no idea on how to use the global setting...

ptt uses ^u instead of ^[^[

probably some big5 sites, i don't know.
we must enable "double byte" on CAQ's bbs
however, in ptt.cc, it is not necessary.

Hello, I'm a user from Taiwan, and I've kept watching the Welly Group
and svn revision for weeks.

Well, some sites provides Double Byte detection built-in, but most
sited doesn't provide this feature. So I think that the Double Byte
detection in Welly is REQUIRED for users in Taiwan, and this might be
the reason why the original Nally developer wants Double Byte
detection support :p

by the way, when connecting PTT or PTT2 with SSH, the Color Paste
feature is not available :(

Almost all the sites in Taiwan uses ^U (ASCII Hex 033, escape char);
the ^[^[ key is not functioned.

PTT and some Maple-itoc-based sited after 2006 has built-in Double
byte (big5 encoding, non-ascii) detection support, that is, the user
may switch on the Double Byte detection support just in the habit
settings. However most sites (source code before 2006) doesn't have
this feature.
