Hi There, please see below for the job description.  Aura RedEye has transitioned to Ruby from .NET and I'm looking for one (or more) experienced senior developers to join my niche development team within one of NZ's best IT security companies.


RedEye is NZs leading PCI certified enterprise level network infrastructure and web & vulnerability scanner. With many new and exciting opportunities we're expanding our development team and require at least one new, experienced developer to join our skilled dynamic team in Wellington (permanent or contract). 


RedEye is a distributed multi tiered application built on Ruby, Rails & Linux, with additional JRuby and integrated security appliance components.

The Aura & RedEye teams provide excellent learning environments and opportunities for skilled, self-motivated, well-rounded individuals to excel across both application development and information security spaces.


Potential candidates should:

Have 3+ years application development experience,
Be competent with Ruby, Ruby on Rails & Postgres,
Have a high level of self-motivation and good time management,
Have excellent communication and analytical skills.


It would also be useful to understand, be interested in or have experience in the following areas:

Secure application development 
Information Security / Network and Application Level Vulnerabilities
Unit Testing
Continuous Integration
Linux Server Administration
