Hi all,

A few weeks ago I posted about a Rails job we had going at Powershop. We filled it, along with two other roles we also had (game, mobile, social media integration type dev stuff). Expect we have so much work on that we actually still need more Rails developers.

Intelligent, creative, fun: software developers

Powershop needs more junior, intermediate and senior software developers to join our Rails team who are intelligent, creative and fun. We're looking for smart people who can understand the complexities of our business.

Previous experience in Rails is obviously a major plus but we are happy to talk to strong software developers who have less experience with Rails. If you're smart and keen we'll be interested.

We pay very good market rates based on your expertise.

We are primarily recruiting RoR developers but we also have mobile and social media development going on - we are open to developers with skills across these areas and are keen to build the people we recruit.

A bit about the Powershop Dev Team

We are a fast, friendly, smart development team that solves complex problems in the New Zealand and Australian energy markets. We primarily develop in Rails but other technologies are becoming important too.

We have 14 developers and 4 testers with a range of experience who work closely with the business. We manage our work through Scrum and code-review every change. We have well defined QA, release and incident processes.

Keeping you fresh is a priority at Powershop so all our developers have the opportunity to spend 10% of their time working on projects that don't need to relate to our business.
