* When?: Fri 10th Feb to Mon 13th Feb 2012
* Where?: Mt. Cheeseman, Canterbury, New Zealand
* How?: https://railscamp-nz.lilregie.com/
We're taking Railscamp back to its roots, with a venue that's as wild as
it gets. Situated in the heart of the Craigieburn Range in the Southern
Alps, Mt. Cheeseman ski field offers the ultimate escape from the rat
race. The ski lodge is located at 1500 metres altitude, with
outstanding panoramic views over the wilderness.

Ticket prices are all inclusive, and include the following:
* Accommodation in the snowline lodge.
* Meals for the duration of the camp.
* Return bus transport from Christchurch to Mt. Cheeseman.
* An exclusive Railscamp NZ t-shirt courtesy of Trineo (http://trineo.co.nz/)
See below for sizing details.
* Espresso coffee courtesy of Resolve Digital (http://resolvedigital.com/)
We've timed the camp to coincide with Webstock in Wellington (13th -
17th Feb), so if you're coming from overseas it's the perfect
opportunity to fit in both events in one trip.

Travelling from RailsCamp to Webstock
-------------------------------------
We've scheduled RailsCamp to coincide with Webstock
(http://www.webstock.org.nz/) in Wellington. If you're attending
Webstock in addition to RailsCamp you'll need to organise your own
transport.
There are regular domestic flights from Christchurch to Wellington.
If you'd prefer to take in some sights on the South Island Coastal,
there is a scenic train from Christchurch to Picton
(http://www.tranzscenic.co.nz/services/coastalpacific.aspx), from which
you can take one of the ferries from Picton to Wellington
(http://www.bluebridge.co.nz/ or http://www.interislander.co.nz).
What to bring
-------------
* Yourself!
* A sleeping bag.
* Clothes for warm *and* cold weather. Although the camp is in mid
summer, the venue is at a considerable altitude. Because of this
there is the potential for a wide range of outdoor temperatures during
the camp.
* All necessary chargers / power adapters for any electronic equipment
you intend to bring.
* There *WILL BE NO CELLPHONE RECEPTION* at the venue. Therefore, please
make sure you have all the software and files you need installed. We will
be running a mirror of rubygems.org, but to avoid disappointment please
assume that you need to be fully self sufficient for any hacking you want
to do. For a good rule of thumb, imagine you are MacGyver.
* You will be sharing dorm style accommodation with other attendees, so
bring ear plugs / eye mask if you feel you will need them.
The venue is very isolated, so please ensure you bring any medication
you require and additional necessary items with you.
Alcohol
-------
We are still finalising details, but there will be alcohol available at the
camp. Please note this is not inclusive in your ticket price.
