When: Wednesday 26th October @ 5:30pm
Where: NZX, Level 2, NZX Centre, 11 Cable Street
StreetView: http://goo.gl/KOHFA

Presentations:

This month I have 6 lightening talks lined up, these are 5-10 minutes each on various topics.

 * Nigel Ramsay: demo of shoulda style testing using the new test libraries included in ruby 1.9

 * Henry Maddocks: a 'show and tell' about the gem he's built to wrap around the Ponoko API

 * Koz: talking about ganglia and metrics for your app

 * Florent Delannoy: will be talking about i18n

 * Nahum Wild: Rails 3.1 Identity Map (disabled by default) and probably something else

 * Breccan McLoad-Lundy: talk will be about saving apps that have gone through failed outsourcing attempts

There are a couple of spots left, so if you'd like to talk about something, send me an email.

Pizza:

I'm looking for a Pizza Sponsor, please contact me off list if you're interested.

Drinks:
NZX is right next to St John, so we can wander there afterwards for drinks

Access:
The meeting time has been changed to 5:30pm as their outside doors auto-lock at 6pm. Take the lift to the 2nd floor and we'll initially gather in the meeting rooms there in the corridor with the lifts.

If you find the doors are locked when you get there then you'll need to text me on 021 677080 to be let in if someone isn't waiting there - no buzzer. We're still feeling out how to do this - so please take note of my cell phone number and ring/txt me if you get lost/stuck

Hi Nahum, do I need to register my attendance in advance?

I've only recently started learning rails but the talks sound interesting, esp the bit on Identity Mapping.

Thanks

Just turn up, we don't have a attendee registration system.
