Initial Post

Hi,

There are two things I'm passionate about in my work, one is Ruby on
Rails and the other is making websites appear quicker to users. Here
in Wellington we have a strong Rails community which meets regularly
(http://groups.google.com/group/wellrailed) but no group covering
website optimisation that I've found, so I thought I'd make one :-)

So welcome to this group!

As the group description says, this for topics such as infrastructure,
caching, database and code tuning techniques. Additionally it isn't
limited to any one language, framework or set of software tools.

I'm gonna try and organise a first meeting for in March or April if
there is enough interest, suggestions and volunteer presenters are
welcome.
