Hi kiters!
I'm Max from Spain. I'm gonna spend 3 months from March to June in Wellington. I need your advice about the gear. I plan to bring a 6m and 8m. My weight is 75 km. Would I ride most of the days? are there strong days for 6m? My wetsuit is 4-3, enough? Is it needed neoprene cap or something else?
I'm also kitesurf instructor IKO license. I wanna contact kite schools and ask if they need an instructor.
cheers!

Given that March - June is fall / winter here, you’ll definitely want to grab booties and a cap, maybe some gloves. I ride a 4/3 all year though and it’s fine for me.

Keep in mind as well that the daylight savings change here is in april, so there’ll be less time to ride after work going forward.

6m and 8m will get you riding a fair amount but not a ton. we get all wind conditions from 12-15knots to 40+knots pretty much all year round. very hard to guess what’s going to happen this fall.

As for finding jobs as a kiting instructor, as it’s fall / winter it’s probably not going to be very easy.

Might also want to post similar questions to our Facebook group as this google group is mostly dead these days.
