I'm meeting the HCC Manager for the rigging area next week to discuss improvements/changes - like should we get the picnic table moved (and if so any suggestions where)? If we do, I would suggest replacing it with some posts out near the corner to anchor kites (the actual reason the table was put there it seems). Hose? Shower? Decent notice-board/signage? Could be no changes are desired too - unfortunately can't do much about the drift wood which is probably the main issue for kites. FYI we'll be installing a more appropriate (WindGuru) meter and a new web cam there soon. Please leave any comments here, Facebook or message me...

Thanks for the feedback - I'm looking to get a suitable notice/notice-board at the site (there is a home made one there already) -
We will probably get a comprehensive sign/notice board set up at Robinson Bay courtesy of the HCC. The attached graphic is a notice I created at the time of the last slalom event and demonstrates some of the messages I think are needed - I'm looking for feedback and suggestions. For a starter I think the signpost should have a notice-board space in addition to: A 'story' that makes it clear that the area is used for wind/water sports, and the scope of that area (map) - there is a possibility we will get tether points for kites installed, and maybe other facilities. Discourage fishing (politely), especially contiki/electric type long line which has happened. Responsible use of the area and respecting other users (& keep off the planting) Safe behaviour/guidelines on the land and water for sailors. Safe behaviour/warnings for spectators (especially around kites) Emergency contact numbers (ie rescue) Sport contact details (web sites etc.)
