UX Lunch: Wed 17th August. Tables in web design
Tables on the web can be evil. Not only can the content contained in
them be a bit, well, boring, but their layout can also leave something
to be desired. To be fair though, they do have the arduous task of
conveying a lot of information at once and sometimes the quantity of
information can overwhelm the user if the table's layout isn't planned
out properly. There's a few things that we can do to increase the
readability of tables so I thought I'd run through a few of these for
next weeks session.
Sometimes it's the same with graphs. So maybe if we have some time
I'll talk about them too (and let's be honest, who doesn't love
talking about pie charts?).
Cheers,
James
