Hello,

A reminder for the Wellington Java User Group meeting for March 2015.

Introduction to Apache Camel

Apache Camel is an integration tool based on message routing. Its intended use is to solve common integration problems, and to make it easy and quick to write custom integration solutions.
We will look at the key concepts of Camel and how they are used to perform message routing.
How and where Camel can be run.
Data and type transformation.
The best practices for adding custom code required to solve your integration problems with Camel.
Error handling.
Some of the pre-built Camel components/plugins.
Time permitting we can also look at unit testing.

Speaker: Simon van der Sluis

Simon has been developing web and DB java applications for the last 10 years or so, the last 7 years at EDMI. Before that he had various roles at a company that designed Digital Microwave Radios. Outside of being a nerd I'm a keen mountain biker, and sometime home brewer.
