To answer some people's questions about Gradle and parallel builds and performance, the Gradle road map can be found at:


You can see there that parallel task execution is on the road map, but not yet started.

We do have a couple of people who've volunteered to give talks in the near future, but so far we have no one ready to give a talk in February. 

How about we do some tidbits talks? Bruce Chapman has offered to do one or two. Usually we find that 3 x 20 minutes is about right. Anyone else have a small topic for 20 minutes? Please reply and we'll get the venue booked and the notice out.

There was also a question last month around "provided" scope in Gradle.

The propdeps plugin provides implementations of "optional" and "provided". The war plugin also includes an implementation of "provided" scope.
