yes, me too

I like the idea of Skyping. I'm now in Manila, so joining you guys in
Skype would be all right for me.
Thanks.
Julius
last I recall, Jason was knee deep in something productive looking. I
think I kind of lost track around then.

FYI, as my internets went away last night, I'm now sitting in the
Southern Cross using their free CafeNet wifi. Works fine so far. Likely
won't have access again until tomorrow afternoon, ideally before 4:30pm,
assuming TelstraClear is able to fix things.
If everyone ends up confirming for tomorrow around 5:15pm, and I've not
replied to the list by, say, 4:15pm, can someone please give me a
ring-a-ding at 9735477 to let me know that we are on? Thanks!
Re the site, not too much left to do regarding development work, though
there are some simple architectural and blog feature questions, answers
to which will help Brett and me finish on that front. These questions
were posted to Teambox.
Cheers,
Jason

Started playing with it as per your instructions. Still some changes to
make.
Re: the blocks on the homepage, if the blocks' titles are links,
shouldn't they also be underlined, to be consistent with all other links
on the site? This, of course, changes the design. I can implement some
JavaScript so that the blocks themselves are the links, in which case,
what colours would you like for background, title, and text and images?
I will also address your other concerns, but have to run right at the
moment.
Thanks for uploading the new images.
Cheers,
Jason
Titles in the blocks are underlined links. If different behaviour (e.g.,
having entire block area linked) is desired, please provide more details
on the visual effects for the different states, i.e.,
hover/focus/active/visited.

Current page item now in dark grey. I also changed it so that it is not
even a link, and thus has no underline. This serves to further indicate,
and in a programmatic way, that it is the current page.

Padding on the left now bigger as indicated in
http://s3.amazonaws.com/teambox-assets/assets/38234/original/3columnsgrey.jpg
Regarding the arrow if there is another sub-level, as I understand it,
the left-hand subnav no longer reproduces the main site menu, but only
lists those pages within the section, and that all links to every page
in the section are always visible. Again, this can be changed if new
instructions are provided.

Fixed.

Leaving this one for someone else to answer, as it's not clear to me
either :)

New background implemented. I changed the new bg.png to a JPG, reducing
its filesize from 526Kb to 85Kb.
And I omitted the html{background-color:#C1C1C1;} rule as it has no
effect since the rule on the body element already sets a background
colour to the entire page.

Good one. Done.

The sub-nav tree is always expanded and the nested levels are indented
to visually indicate the levels, so my only concern with placing a down
arrow is that it might be expected to be functional, that is, clicking
it would collapse the menu, but we've not implemented
expandable/collapsable sub-nav tree menus.
That said, if you want the down arrow next those sub-nav list items with
nested sub-nav links, I can certainly do so :)

"About Us" now has a dropdown menu, and I've gone ahead and added one to
"Contact Us" as well (but can be removed if anyone has objections).
Blowing Our Trumpet doesn't, in my opinion, lend itself to a drop down,
as it doesn't have any similar sub-pages, unless you can suggest what
should appear in the dropdown for that menu item.
New Questions for Julie:
1. Can you please provide the green plant image for the "Become an
Emerge Supporter" block on the home page?
2. Can you please look at the contact form on the "Send us a Message"
page and provide any design instructions you might have? It's got a
little work left to do on it (mainly some margin/padding and background
colouring of the text inputs), but any suggestions you have will be
appreciated.
Thanks,
Jason
We will be having another meeting on Skype at 8pm on Wednesday the 17th.
It's been working quite well, so if you can make it, please do.
Here are the Skype names we have so far:
julie.metivier
hellonearthis (Brett)
bryony.hall554
julius_charles
kristina.louis2
stephbeath
jwkiss
If you're not listed there, let us know yours so we can get you in on
the group chat come Wednesday evening.
Cheers,
Jason
Not much happened tonight on skype, for various reasons. If you can make
it, we are scheduled to try again on Wednesday the 24th at 8pm. Would be
great if you could make it, at the least just to help us clear up any
loose ends as we near the finish.
Steph is working on her test script, and we should discuss a few points
about the hand-off to Emerge (e.g., documentation, tutorial, server
info, etc.), and whatever remains.
Looking forward to skyping with you next week.
Cheers,
Jason
PS - If you're planning on joining the chat, and haven't participated in
any of the skype chats we've had thus far, please respond to this email
with your skype username. Thanks!
I attended the Emerge launch party this evening, and just wanted to pass
along their appreciation for all of the Wgtn IT Volunteers' work. They
are very happy with the site.
Cheers,
Jason
