Hi Kellyanne - sorry for the lack of contact. I literally have no time spare at the moment with a new job, closing down my old business and about to head off to the States for a couple of weeks on Saturday. (add 3 kids and you'll get a picture of the craziness!)

A quick update as I only have a few minutes to write this.
1. the content work is coming along really well at our end. The ladies are having one more meeting this weekend to get all their ducks in a row before coming to see you again. They have not rewrittten all the content but they have done a few pages to show you how the content would be best delivered in our view and you'll be able to see the difference very clearly.  From there we really need to get guidance from you on what content you want included and then we can help you plan the other pages.
2. I have delegated the workstreams to various people while I'm away. Kristina is managing content and will be your main contact. Julie and Bryony are handling the visual work and should have something ready to show you next week.
3. Reed and Brett are managing the development and the site is up in a skeletal format.  They are working together on all the bits that can be done in advance of the visual design being applied.  They are hoping to have an accessibility expert give them some feedback over the next week.

So - the bad news - although things are still moving along well I am fairly sure we are not going to have things finished for your expo.  I realise this is hugely disappointing (as it is for me also) however there is simply no way I can make things move any faster.
If you feel that this project is becoming a really bad experience for you and you'd like to drop out of it then please just say so. We won't be horrified or offended. As we said at the start this is our first project as a group and we've had to work out what is and isn't achievable and how we can work together over the course of this project so things have not run smoothly and although everyone has the best intentions they also have very busy lives that cause us to have difficulty getting people together at sensible times.

We would of course be very pleased to keep going with your site and get it finished for you - it won't be in time for the Expo so you'll need to use your existing site for that event - so please jsut advise us what you would like to have happen at this stage.

Many thanks,  Steph

Hi Gretta, I’m having trouble rousing Steph (please see most recent contact below)… have to confess we’re getting pretty anxious about the website here, any suggestions on how we might get things moving again, especially bearing in mind the ever tightening timeframe? I wasn’t sure who else to contact.

Thanks

Hi Steph, I’m just back from my leave and was hoping to touch base about where things are at with the website… I understand that this meeting hasn’t happened yet and I am happy to offer to catch up any evening or day over the weekend. I’m sure you can understand that the deadline for us is getting pretty close with the Transition Expo (Sept 15th) quickly approaching and us relying in part on the launch of our new website to help promote this and also provide electronic resources that are being launched as we speak. Please let me know if there is anything we can do to help grease the wheels. I hear congrats are in order on your new role.

Hi Susan and Kellyanne -

The team have been and continue to beaver away at the 3 workstreams for your new site. Visual design is one of those streams and the lovely lady who is designing your site would like to meet with you and discuss some ideas.  Her name is Julie and unfortunately she works out in Lower Hutt and the only time she can meet with you is in the evening or in the weekend.  We wondered if we could meet you this Saturday to talk through design stuff?  It could be at a cafe or even at one of your homes if that is easier for you?

Can you let me know if it's possible for us to meet on Saturday?

Thanks,  Steph

Hi Kellyanne - are you talking about making updates on your existing website using Dreamweaver (as you have previously been able to do?) ?  Perhaps if we can get specific about what help is needed we can find the right person to help out.  It may be that we can even send a student who has Dreamweaver skills your way and they can come to your office and 'drive' Dreamweaver for you to make the required updates?

Cheers,  Steph

Bit of a mayday call here, there is some stuff for the upcoming Transition Expo that urgently needs to be updated to our webpage, is there any possibility that one of the lovely volunteers could do something quick for this please… as you all know we had hoped to have the new website up and running and have been working to that plan, unfortunately with that not an option now, there will be a lot of people directed to our website that won’t have what they’re looking for. Any options etc please let me know ASAP, thank you!
