Hi everyone.

For those who don't get the Webstock newsletter, they've put out a
call for a couple of ways the IT community can help with the
earthquake. Details below.

Earthquake web response hackathon [Everywhere]

Devs and UI folk wanted to improve the systems that are tracking 800+
locations for tens of thousands of people at eq.org.nz.

Working space available in Wellington CBD 11am-7pm Sat (possibly again
on Sun depending on momentum), with brunch at 10am to meet your fellow
hackers. Follow and join in remotely at #eqnz-dev on
irc.freenode.net.

Please also spread the word that we will be providing training for people who would like to contribute in non technical ways over the weekend. So far, two training sessions are planned:

2pm Saturday & 2pm Sunday
Optimal Usability

Thanks everyone
