havent been down for a while, what's the general state of things these days?

People have definitely been attending! Lots of new faces. Mel said she was going to come down.

 

I'll be down, but I'm unsure what time yet. I only have 2Lish of fuel left so wont be able to provide fuel for anyone unfortunately.

I've got a brand new fire hoop to burn/test!!

Please bring Koha if you wish to use the fuel provided.
This is pegasol and is highly refined kerosene $5 minimum.
If you wish to bring your own fuel, please bring your own dipping bucket so you do not mix down the peg with regular kero.

i wonder how to get that auto-signature to stop telling everyone there's fuel!

you need to be an admin to get rid of the signature... i'll ask bron or miles :)

does that mean everyone is bringing there own fuel nowadays?

i have no idea about other people, as noted I have not been down in quite a long time. just wondering if the sig contains out of date info? had the impression there was not really a lot of fuel around.  not a biggie!!

I ran out last fire night. People have been buying fuel off me or using kero.

I'm planning on getting more fuel after my trip to chch, I get back on the 25th... That is provided enough people are interested to allow us to get 200L... cos right now there is 60 odd liters unaccounted for and I can't pay for them...

Just got an e-mail from Thomas Buchanan, he is wanting another fire crew at the petone winter festival, he is interested in having a bigger crew! I replyed saying I will have an estimated amount of numbers within a week, we also need to think about payment, as last year it was a bit all over the place, so if anyone wants to get involved thats not going to be at fire tonight let me know! I think the best plan of attack is to have a get together with all the people that are interested, and we can talk details, then closer to the time, think about more performance logistical stuff :)

I can upgrade my order to 40L.

 

I would suggest that people who are unable to get together enough cash or storage space to grab a significant amount, could perhaps talk to each other and arrange a mini-bulk buy among selves? You would only need 5 people getting 2L each and there's 10L. Just so that whoever is organising the actual drum doesn't have to run around providing a bottle here, a bottle there.
