to Wellington Fire
Hi, I'm wanting to learn the fire poi but need to do it practically,
not learn by computer. I hear there are a bunch of people who go to
Frank Kitts Park in Wellington when it gets dark on Tue nights, is
that the best place to go? If so, how do I know there will be people
going? cheers, Wez.

Apparently there's a facebook group where most of the organising happens.  Hopefully someone will drop in and let you know the name of it.

We meet and spin fire in Frank Kits Park Tuesday nights weather permitting.
Please bring Koha if you wish to use the fuel provided.
This is pegasol and is highly refined kerosene $5 minimum.
As a safety tip, we ask that you do not soak your undergarments in flammable fluids before spinning. We do not want a repeat of that incident.
If you wish to bring your own fuel, please bring your own green dipping bucket so you do not mix the peg with regular kero. Orange buckets are also accepted.

yeh dunno about all that crap in the signature talking of orange and green buckets, but  Tuesday nights on a receding dusk cycle until it gets too close to quitting-work time at which point it's like 7.30 or 8.

PS those of us who don't have facebook are not getting any info these days.  It'd be kind of handy if the FB page were viewable without having to log in.

the page creator may be able to set that, but how about posting duplicate here if FBing? but also it's a safe bet that if the weather is in any way forgiving there will be someone there. one grass level is sheltered from the north, one from the south.
