Google
earth is amazing for searching and seeing what these locations look like
now. although the address on the envelope flap doesn't seem to exist any
more.
I hope this spurs some good leads into our combined heritage and hope it may settle some blanks along the way.
Best regards
Cheers!

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the great pictures. They say so much more than a few words.
Although I run the web site I am not a genealogist and cannot research your family tree back to meet mine.
You may wish to contact the WELLERs of Kent who are a larger branch but with no known connections to our branch. https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!forum/weller-of-kent They are also closer to Walthamstow.
I have copied in some WELLERs in Canada who may be able to make a connection.
Cheers,
Mal.

Do you know if the 'W' is Walstone? I come from London Walstone Wellers.

As in Edward Arthur Walstone Weller; http://www.nmarchive.com/a-z-database/soldier-listing/WE/soldiers-died-in-the-great-war-1914-1919/664164 ?
Do you know if you are from the WELLERs of Kent or Berkshire?
I have no record of Walstone in my tree.
Mal.

Yes I believe this is my fathers oldest brother, my uncle! My father was youngest of three brothers, Edward, Clifford, Leslie (him) and one sister. My Fathers Father died from a heart attack cutting down a tree in the garden when my father was a child in London. My father had me at 50yrs, hence how I can have an uncle in the first world war! My father was Leslie Stanley Walstone Weller and I am Paul Edward Walstone Weller. Don't know about Kent or Berkshire, but I remember driving my father to a family gathering near Lewis about 30yrs ago.
