Wekinator's color tracker and edge tracker don't load my webcam

Hey guys!

First of all, I want to say that this is an awesome program idea and
it seems like it can do some really nice stuff! Thanks for making it!

I'm just having some trouble using the color tracker and edge tracker
right now. From the instructions webpage, it looked like it would load
my webcam automatically, but all it does is bring up a white window
with nothing on it (saying either "colortracker" or "edgetracker" on
the title bar). My webcam does not turn on.

Could someone help me with this? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I'm running Windows 7 and my webcam is built into my computer. If you
need more info, just ask.

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for the email. There is a problem running the built-in webcam extractors on some versions of windows (due to interactions between Windows, Processing, and Quicktime), but I've built a replacement color tracker that should work. It's been tested on a few machines, but not widely, so please let me know if you have any problems with it.

Thanks Rebecca! It seems there's still a problem, though... It still only shows a white screen and the camera doesn't turn on. But this version at least creates some kind of error log files. I'll send those over in case they're of any help. I was wondering if maybe my version of Java was too new. Don't know if that makes sense or not.
