Dear Weka Creators,

First of all, thank you so much for this wonder tool and amazing free courses.

I am excited and looking forward to receiving Statement of Completion on Weka from University of Waikato. So, I have finished the first Weka course with a score of 91. I guess I could have a statement of completion for this course right?

It mentioned on the web that the statement is to be mailed out, so I assume this is a physical statement not an electronic one, am I right? Of course, I know the mailing process will only start after 3rd of Jan 2017, but I don't remember this MOOC site has ever asked for my mailing address.  So, will I only be asked for mailing address after 3rd of Jan 2017?

Thanks,

Sincerely yours,

Daniel

PDF and PNG versions of the certificate will get emailed out to the
eligible students. No physical copies will get posted (it's a free
course after all).

Cheers, Peter

Dear Weka Creators,

I am about to finish the first course: Data Mining with Weka before the January 3, 2017 deadline. However, I would very much like to know when would the other two courses be offered again so in 2017 so that I can go ahead and finish them then.

Please do let me know further.

Thank you.

Shortly after the MOOCs got closed off, the certificates will get
generated/emailed out and then the MOOCs will get opened up again.

Thank you for letting me know when the MOOCs will open up again. It will help continue and finish the MOOCs - More Data Mining with Weka and Advanced Data Mining with Weka.

Any specific dates when I should be looking out for their opening?

Regards and Happy New Year,
Kunal

Hello Peter,

As of January 2, 2017 9:00 pm , I have completed the course called Data Mining with Weka. I got the following scores:
1. Mid Course Assessment = 90
2. Post Course Assessment = 87
Overall Course Score = 87

I was wondering if based on the above facts, I am eligible for a "End of Course" Certificate and whether I meet the criterion of scoring more than 70%?

Does my overall course score imply that I have passed the course?

Also, did I meet the deadline of having finished my assessments before January 3, 2017? I do remember having read somewhere that one had until January 3, 2017 to finish the course.

Please do give your suggestions.

Thank you,
Kunal

If both scores are above 70% then you've passed already.

The deadline means closing off the course, making it impossible for you to submit assessments.

Looks like you'll get a statement sent.
