I am very happy to report here that very recently some articles
have appeared in the "Nay La Journal" (literally Sun - Moon Journal)
some interesting articles about this long lost book.
The first article appeared in Journal No. 125 (2 Sept 2005), page 10.
The author of this very valuable book for seekers of wisdom or
Weizzar Lan practitioners is the Venerable Thadhamaw Daya Sayadaw from
the Dwara Gaing. The Dwara Gaing is one of the famous religious sects
within the Theravada Buddhist Sangha community.
This article is written by U Aung Soe Oo and after this first
article, he has written many subsequent articles which are equally
interesting.
In this present article, the author U Aung Soe Oo writes about his
search for this lost book. He got his first clue about this valuable
book from U Mae Da Wi of Poppa.
In this article, it is written that U Mae Da Wi has been quite
close to Aba Bo Min Gaung and had met him many times in person. In
addition, U Mae Da Wi was also one of the close disciples of the
Venerable Thadhamaw Daya Sayadaw. As a close disciple, he has heard
many stories about how the Venerable Sayadaw had many weizzars. U Mae
Da Wi is now over 70 but he is in good health and his lifelong passion
was to search for this "Weizzar Magga Vibavani Kyan".
One day, U Mae Da Wi got a bit of news. He learnt that there was a
certain Sayadaw from the Dwara Gaing who had in his possession a
collection of books belonging to the Venerable Thadhamaw Daya Sayadaw
(now passed away) in a teak box. He therefore went to see this Sayadaw
whose name was U Nadiya living in Mayangon Township of Yangon City.
This Sayadaw U Nandiya lives in No. 1 Thamain Quarter, No. 6th street.
To make a long story short, in the end the author of this article
U Aung Soe Oo was finally able to read the original type written
manuscript of the said book - Weizzar Magga Vibavani Kyan".
I hope this book comes out in print soon.
In the meantime, I am enjoying the ariticles written by U Aung Soe Oo
in the Nay La Journal.
