Dear Tom,
There are Nine Holy Places at the Shwedagon which you not miss.
They are called "Aung Myay". I think you know what it means as you know how to read Burmese.
One of them is the Nay La Paya. Another is the Shinsawpu Paya.
The other one that I remember is Bo Bo Aung paya.
I think there is an article on

There is an aritcle in Burmese and I will post it on this forum when I have some time. The article appeared in Nay La Journal or perhaps Sayagyi Min Theikha's Manomaya Journal.
