1st meeting on THURS 10/3 at 2-4pm

Dear all.

In light of other constraints, the 1st meeting of the 2nd semester
cource
"foundations of crypto -- Part II: encryptions, signatures, and
protocols"
will take place on THURS, March 10th, at 2-4pm in Room 261.

It is quite possible that the meeting will be quite short,
and in particular last less than an hour.

The reason for this date is that I will not be able to hold
meeting on the coming three weeks; that is, there will
be no meetings on March 17th, 24th, and 31st.

At the students' request,
the meeting was postponed to 3PM.

In the meeting, I'll discuss the setting of the encryption problem
(sec 5.1) and suggest reading the definitions of swecurity
(sec 5.2.1--5.2.4). This materiual should suffice for two weeks,
and we shall discuss it further also next week (on 17/.3).

Yes, in contrary to my previous plans,
I will be able to mee in next week (17/3).
But there will be *no* meetings on 24/3 and 31/3.
