to Weizmann Foundations of Cryptography 2011
As I said in today's meeting, due to my travel,
we shall have our next meeting on April 7th.
Towards this meeting, I expect you to read the following material:
Optional: Sec 5.1 (Basic setting ) in case you are unsure about it.
The main material is Sec 5.2-5.4,1, as detailed next.
* In Sec 5.2, you may skip Sec 5.2.5, which is optional.
Sec 5.2.1--5.2.4 are most important.
* In Sec 5.3, you may skip Sec 5.3.1, which is optional.
Focus on Sec 5.3.2--5.3.4.
* Sec 5.4.1 provides an overview. That's enough for this course.
Those interested may read the rest of Sec 5.4.
I suggest spending a week on each of the first two items.
There is a light homework assignment for April 7th.
It consists of Exercises 2 and 4 (on page 482).
Try to do them without looking at the guideline.
Also, as advatnced/bonus exercises, I recommend
a sample from Exer 13, 15 (which relies on 14.1), and 17.
