November is Packed! Turkey Drive, Classes, Competitions & More

It’s been a busy and exciting start to November! We’ve already had Learn to Homebrew Day (11/1) with a great turnout, and the 3rd Annual Big Brew Day Competition (11/8) which had barleywines entered from all over the USA. Congratulations to the winners:
- 1st Place – Aurora City Brew Club, Aurora, CO
- 2nd Place – Amarillo High Plains Drafters Brewing Club, Amarillo, TX
- 3rd Place – Foam on the Range, Denver, CO
Now, let’s keep the momentum going with one of our biggest community events of the year - The Annual Turkey Drive to support the Food Bank of Larimer County.
Join us on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Zwei Brewing in Fort Collins from 12:00pm to 8:00pm. Now more than ever donations (and especially Turkeys) are needed to help families enjoy a full holiday meal. Here’s how you can help:
- Bring a frozen turkey (or donate at least $15) at Zwei Brewery. Get a free beer.
- (Limit one free beer per person. Only available on November 15th).
- Can’t make it or don’t have time to grab a turkey?
- Donate Here to Food Bank of Larimer County.
- When donating, please select:
- Direct Gift To: “Food & Fund Drive” and
- Name of Company: “Weiz Guys Homebrew Club”.
- This is important as our club will be matching donations. If we don’t know you donated, we can’t match your donation.

- 11/18/2025 - Monthly Club Meeting at Big Thompson Brewing
- Club Only Competition for Mash Your Luck

- 11/26/2025 - Hoppy Hour / Pro/Am Release at Crooked Beach 6:30pm to 8:30pm
- This is a tapping party for Juan Padilla's Pro/Am Barleywine - Right Kind of Sinner. Just before Thanksgiving and a great time to unwind!
- 12/15/2025 – Drop Off/Entry window opens for Sweetheart’s Revenge 2026
- This is just around the corner. If you haven’t started, it is time to get brewing!
- 12/17/2025 – Weiz Guys Holiday Party at Purpose Brewing in Fort Collins
- The monthly meeting has been moved ahead 1 day to Wednesday this month. This will be a potluck event and a lot of fun. More information on the event and a sign-up sheet will be available soon.
It’s a full month, so mark your calendars, grab your friends, and join in wherever you can.
