Club Colaboration Comp Results

The results are in for the "Brew With Someone You Haven't" collaboration competition:

1st: Juan & Joy Padilla, Phil LaFleur; Belgian Dark Strong

2nd: Steven Jones & Rob Hardisty; Mexican Lager

3rd: Mike Bosen & Jay Kinney; English Porter

Congratulations to the winners. Jake at Crooked Beech has said that he would like to brew 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place recipes. Winners, I will need your recipes with a target ABV, fermentables in %, hop bill in IBUs (with timing), and the water profile in PPM so Jake can brew the recipes on his system. He is wanting to do these on his pilot system (20 gal). Jake is also talking about sharing sales information with us once the club beers go on tap. I am not certain if we will be able to help with the brew day. Hopefully, we will be able to. Please get you recipes to be as soon as possible.

Jake is also is wanting to brew more club competition beers after our next comp in August - Fall Beers (beers that make you think of Fall: Festbier, Octoberfest Bier, Autumn Seasonal, Pumpkin beers, ...). Get thinking and get those fermenters filled.

I appologize most profusely to Mike & Jay. Their beer was a Kentucky Common not an English Porter. I lost my comp flight sheet from the previous night and was writing from memory when I wrote my original post.
