Salam people! A few of my friends and I are going to be presenting in our school on Monday. We need a literal translation of the song Aakhri Alvida by Strings from the movie Shootout at Lokhandwala. I would be really appreciated if any one of you could give me the literal English translation of the following lyrics. If you want to listen to the song, below the Urdu/Hindi lyrics is the link to the video of the song. I tried searcing on the internet but couldn't find the English translation of this song so it would be if one of you guys could help me out. Thanks.
I can translate it for you, but first let us know, is this going to be for the girl that sits in the front row in your English class, or the one in your Maths class. Just checking... inorder to get the accurate translation need to know if the girl receiving this poem will be more of a Shakespearian type or the someone that likes Algebra and geometry, so that we can have the translation perfectly match her subject of interest.
But seriously, brother, we have been thru your stage (teenage years.... and poetry and stuff), and we know that no Teacher/staff is interested in an English translation of a Rock group's urdu lyrics, my younger fellow brother... LoL....
And if you are serious Bout haa, send a proposal to her parents brothers, and invite us all to your wedding... We'd all be glad to attend and bring you some Flowers, teddys bears and things like that..............
datzburier, the song's not for a girl. Me and my friends are gonna be singing this a few other songs on Monday in front of the grade 9's and 10's. So our teacher told us that it would be nice idea if we could get an English translation for each song. We are gonna be singing four more songs but we've got the translation for those, this is the only song that we need the translation for. It's not a love game.
And to be honest with you, I seriously hate poetry, whether it be English or Urdu or whatever language. What you said is true, no teacher/staff is interested in the English translation but he said it would be a good idea to project the lyrics onto a screen when presenting for the students because not everyone in the school understands Urdu/Hindi. And it wouldn't look good if we put the translation for four songs and don't do so one song so that's why I asked you guys to translate it for me.
hassam, thanks very much for your effort but I came online on the website right now and checked it. If I had checked it before going to school, I'd have taken it with me but it's okay. Thanks anyways.
