This young lady is a sense echoes my 10 month long Fulbright Grant stay in Copenhagen and travelling through Europe, from Scandinavia to Italy and back. Due to my experience, I always recommend to students and other young people that travelling abroad is truly significant in opening your mind to the world, at that time in their lives.
Now, How fortunate Birmingham is to have had Mademoiselle Le Clech and for just two months! All of that is a strong sign the Birmingham is in so many ways really a great city, in important ways, the most important ways. She even recognizes some true faults and says Birmingham is too unkown, as I have said many times, and the effect of a terrible lack of effective public transit, also one of my top priorities
She has just now corroborated my own thinking and of course How can I not love that? Please, everyone pay attention to this.
David Sher I am so glad you can included posting like this. Bring more on!. Thank you
I love being styled by Autianna at Eyewear Love Affair and I adore my new frames! I couldn't have picked two of the most perfect frames for me without her. She first asks you a few questions to make an assessment and then picks several different frames based on your face shape and personal style. I went with a minimalist pair and a bold pair. Don't worry if you're a picky person or someone who struggles to make up their mind. That person is me when it comes to frames but Auti made the process enjoyable, fun, and super easy.
Exceptional care! Curated, gorgeous, modern, luxury frames! Even better lenses. Not to mention the virtual fitting. From fitting to receipt of my new glasses it was a pleasure! (2 prescribed, 1 sunglasses) If you want expertise and an absolutely wonderful experience Eyewear Love Affair is the only place you need to go. Autianna will make you fall in love with glasses again! I already want more!! Love!
Partly because while all drugs pose some risks, they're often essential, treating otherwise deadly or debilitating diseases, notes Andrew Powaleny, director of public affairs for the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), a trade group.
Potentially harmful prescribing is all too common, says Steven Chen, Pharm.D., an associate dean for clinical affairs at the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy, who worked with Consumer Reports to review the medication lists submitted by readers. (Chen, like many pharmacists reviewing drugs, didn't have access to medical records.) Of the 20 lists he reviewed, only two received a clean bill of health. Among the other 18, Chen identified 38 potential problems, half of which he considered serious. They included one person taking a combination of blood-pressure drugs that could cause potassium levels to spike and trigger dangerous heartbeat abnormalities, and another's mix of a blood thinner, a pain reliever, and baby aspirin that could cause stomach bleeding.
My background is in both science and writing, which makes me curious to learn how things work and eager to tell you about it. Austin, Texas, is home base for me, and I enjoy its music, walking trails, and dog-friendly patios. My idea of a healthy lifestyle is dancing enough to balance my love of food and drink.
Welcome to my blog! Here you will find everyday food we cook at home, usually Mediterranean recipes, Latin American recipes and sometimes a fusion between both cultures. More specifically we cook a lot of traditional Albanian & Bolivian food at home since I was born in Albania and my husband in Bolivia. Hope you love these recipes like we do:)
Throughout my followings of internet gurus, I have met, tried, experimented, visited, believed and argued many different points at different times. Louie Simmons was my first. I subscribed to Powerlifting USA to read his column, bought chains, bands, glute ham machines, reverse hypers and a Westside Barbell T-shirt which he gave me (the dog on the shirt was actually his dog). I spent multiple days at the old pizza shop in a strip mall on Demorest Ave in Columbus. Louie is a great coach, incredibly knowledgeable and a great person. In fact, he is such a great person that he said to me it was time to move on and learn from others because what he does, powerlifting, could only get me to a certain point. I needed new concepts that would get me closer to my goal of developing sprinters. He introduced me to John Davies, and I learned a lot. But I still needed more. I saw Bompa, Verkhoshanky, Siff, Weyand, Schroeder, Poliquin, Pfaff, Seagrave, and others speak on multiple occasions. I was one of the first in the US to have a Nemes vibrating plate sold by the Kraaijenhofs and delved into the Bosco stuff. My success was good but not where I wanted to be. Dan Fichter of wannagetfast, got us connected to DB Hammer who was selling limited consultations; we paid to have questions answered and teach us how to build programs that got great results for high school athletes. DB taught me the importance of the Bulgarian split squat and isometric strength. Thus, my love affair began.
Then, a year or two later I went on a 50 mile hike with my Boy Scout troop in the Big Horn Crags area of what is now the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness in central Idaho. Now I had fallen in love not just with trees, but with the whole forest. The forest not only provided shade for tired hikers, but also for the huckleberries that grew along the trail, which we promptly picked and made huckleberry pancakes. I can still smell that huckleberry pancake batter like it was yesterday.
For seven decades, Corvette has been finding new roads as an experience built only for two. It has been the Heartbeat of America on the street and the ground-pounding sound of American thunder on the track. It is the official car of your dreams. Fall in love all over again with Corvette.
I am a full-time photographer who loves to travel so no destination is off limits when planning your special day. I have no travel fees for Nevada, Arizona, California, and Utah. I absolutely love the open road and the sights and sounds you encounter while traveling by car not to say that my next adventure might also not be by plane. I am also a published wedding photographer so I am confident with capturing memories that last a lifetime. I know that no wedding is too big or too small and that every wedding is a new adventure of a lifetime that my couples are embarking on and I take great joy in the fact that I get to be part of their special day.
"Love Affair" depends on grace and style to make its effect, and that's just as well, because most of the people seeing this movie are going to know how it turns out. If they haven't seen the original "Love Affair" (1939) with Irene Dunne and Charles Boyer, or the remake "An Affair to Remember" (1957) with Deborah Kerr and Cary Grant, they've seen "Sleepless In Seattle" (1993), which was about people who loved the earlier films.
Until recently the love story seemed to be a threatened genre in Hollywood. Women characters in movies were more likely to stab you than kiss you. Then came "Sleepless in Seattle" and "Only You" and now "Love Affair," all movies about nice people getting into goofy misunderstandings because they love one another so much. You have to be in the right mood to enjoy movies like this. Or maybe they put you in the mood.
Being in love is a powerful experience unlike anything else. It's an altered state in which people think and act very differently than usual. Some people never get to experience it, but many of us do at least once in a lifetime.
Those who have experienced it also know that the powerful rush doesn't last forever. And when those feelings end, the relationship often ends, too. Yet many couples manage to move on from that stage to keep their love affair going.
We used to turn to poets for insight on the mysteries of love, but now we ask doctors and researchers. Science offers two basic ways of understanding love affairs. One is to look for what many different people in different love relationships tend to have in common. The other is to look at how chemicals in the brain mix to make us feel various emotions related to sex and love.
Beginning in 1965, a psychologist named Dorothy Tennov began to study the state of being in love as something different from other ways that people love each other. In 1979, she published a book summing up her research, in which she coined a new scientific term for "in love." She called it "limerence." Based upon hundreds of interviews with people in love, she came up with a general description of the condition.
Researchers have looked for changes in the brain that may go along with the state of limerence. Studies show that the brain chemicals dopamine and serotonin may be related to the peculiar feelings and behavior of people in love.
Dopamine is a feel-good brain chemical. When the brain is flooded with dopamine, we feel various degrees of well-being, from contentment to euphoria. High dopamine levels may be related to the "high" people experience early in a love affair. People in love also tend to notice less need for sleep, extra energy, and decreased appetite. Some scientists think it's no coincidence that these are also common effects of amphetamines and cocaine, which alter the mind mainly by raising dopamine levels.
The downside of high dopamine is anxiety, restlessness, and emotional volatility. Such bad feelings are often mixed up with good ones in passionate love affairs. Dopamine plays a role in our ability to concentrate and control our thoughts, so elevated dopamine levels could explain lovers' tendency to focus exclusively on their beloved.
Falling in love has been linked to hormonal changes, too. Researchers in Italy who studied serotonin and love affairs compared hormone levels of people recently fallen in love and those who were single or in a long-lasting relationship. They found that women who had recently fallen in love had higher testosterone levels than those who had not recently fallen in love, and men in love had lower testosterone than those who had not. Both men and women who had recently fallen in love also had higher levels of the stress hormone cortisol. When researchers tested these people again one to two years later, their hormone levels were no longer different.
