Somebody clue me in please - after taking an extended CoH2 break (I bought the DCE pre-release and played it for about 2 years), I came back due to the latest December patch and was looking to buy a few commanders, namely the OKW Firestorm commander (I love that damned lil Hetzer !!) and can't find them anywhere. My Google-fu fails me, as I haven't found any info on what happened to a select few commanders.
The 30k coins you will only get when you recently registered your game-account. Sounds like you did it some time ago, before they introduced this award. That will mean you got a set of commanders for free instead (the Defensive ones, for Soviet and Ostheer) though.
Correct ! I just read the latest thread on that, and I seem to recall getting those commanders a while back. Bought the Firestorm commander tonight, and now that I have it, I'd prefer to trade it in for the standard Hetzer, I like burning things a lot, but those flamers don't do too much against Shermans or SU 76s.

The DLC will be rounded out by two multiplayer commanders for the German and Soviet armies. A commander in the Company of Heroes games lets players customize their strategies with a skill tree. German army users can choose from the Joint Operations Doctrine for artillery precision and the Offensive Spearhead Doctrine for powerful armor and air strikes. The Soviet army's bonus commanders are the Anti-Infantry Tactics Doctrine, which includes flamethrower tank units, and the Conscript Support Tactics Doctrine for quick boosts of troop support in battle.
When a line-of-duty death occurs, the incident commander (IC) for that response faces unique emotional, personal, political, social, legal, and relationship impacts that only other incident commanders who have faced the same tragedy can understand. One IC of an LODD incident described it as "a very exclusive club that no one ever wants to join." This program takes a proactive approach by raising awareness about what incident commanders may face if a line-of-duty death occurs at a scene where they are in command and beginning to prepare them to face that challenge should it happen to them. The program will: 1) Educate incident commanders about what they might face if a line-of-duty death occurs during a response where they are in command so they can be better prepared, and 2) Be a resource for incident commanders of scenes where a line-of-duty death has occurred, functioning as a source of support and guidance for how to navigate the aftermath that will forever change the IC and the department. This program addresses the potential psychological and operational impact of the line-of-duty death, meeting the needs of the surviving family and of the department members, handling media scrutiny, participating in the review of the operation and the IC's role, accessing behavioral health resources, and being aware of potential legal issues moving forward.
