I am feeling nostalgic, but I'm also sitting on three PlayStation 3s. Thank you very much Andy for responding. Unfortunately for me I've tried a few different PlayStation 2 slim models with poor results. The quest continues for a working PlayStation 2.

I still have my PS2, and I'm pretty sure it works (haven't had it hooked up for a long time).  It was a little finicky, especially with DVDs, but usually played PS1 and PS2 games OK (the vertical set up worked best; probably needs to be blown out with compressed air).  I keep thinking I'll hook it back up some day and play those still-in-shrink games on my shelf.  I'd be happy to loan it to you for a while.

Randy, I hear you!  Hook it up and play some of those games!  

I'm fortunate, someone has come forth and shipped one to me (and for that I'm grateful).  

Thank you to those of you that reached out to me, this is a quiet community these days but it's still filled with kind people.
