I wish to report the successful migration of my 20 year old wired Davis Weather Monitor II weather station to weewx 5.0.2 on a Raspberry Pi 4 running Raspbian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm). In addition, I was able to copy over 4 years of historical data to the weewx archive. This accomplished a goal of mine to decouple my weather station from a MS Windows environment running Davis WeatherLink software. Weewx software made this possible.

The only unexpected hiccup I encountered during the install was that the pressure values generated by the wmII fell outside the lower limit of the StdQC service checks. I will note that my installation is located at an elevation of nearly 7,000 ft. As a result the natural gauge pressure values reported by my station can be quite a bit lower than more typical elevation installations. By widening the lower limit of the MinMax pressure QC check I was able to get the pressure observation values to be accepted and saved to the archive. The recorded pressure agrees reasonably well to the reported NWS sea level pressure.

I would not have been able to accomplish all of this had it not been for the wonderful documentation and support provided by the authors and developers and contributors of this software. Thank you all for your efforts. Now on to weewx customization...

Hello Wayne.

Apologies for dredging up an old thread, but I acquired a brand new in-box Davis weather station, including the WMII base unit (for all of £14 in a charity shop!). For the avoidance of doubt, I assume you were using an official Davis serial interface? Just trying to scope what I will require to achieve what I'm after w/ the kit.

Many thanks!
