I just bought an Airlink:

Looking forward to be able to put a number on the horrible air we've been having here in Northern California.

I'm wondering if I can integrate it with weewx?

Is that the sort of thing a plugin would do?

Thanks for any help.

I'm waiting for mine to be shipped (backordered). I think you can write something using  the following: https://weatherlink.github.io/airlink-local-api/

I’m in the same both, but the SF Bay Area was much better today: https:/www.paloaltoweather.com/

You can see I have a PurpleAir integrated with weewx.  There are multiple plugins to do this (I’m using my own).

I also have an Davis AirLink scheduled to arrive tomorrow.  I should have an extension to play with shortly thereafter.  I’m sure others will write extensions also; I’m just not aware of any at present.

Interesting about the backorder. They didn't mention that it was backordered when I placed the order about an hour ago, but of course it hasn't shipped yet either. I'm hoping to get it soon but I can imagine the demand is sky high right now.

Try buying an air purifier. The nearest one I could find was in Kalispell, Montana.

Box fans and square furnace filters are flying off the shelves here in N California.

Our local suppliers are completely out of filters of any size, shape, or type. Fortunately, I had 3 stockpiled for our HVAC. They last about 3 days.

AQI has improved around here. It was close to 600 earlier in the week; now it's about 230.

My AirLink just arrived.  How do I get the data out of it to bring into my server and into WeeWx?  Also, on a tangent, I noticed that my AirLink data are not getting displayed on the Davis map https://www.weatherlink.com/map.  I know I've got a lot to learn about how to use this but ultimately I'd love to have it be available in WeeWx.

I am running WeeWx 3.9.2 on an Ubuntu server with a Vantage Pro 2.

Thanks,

Ken

It looks like this link that was previously posted answered my question:
https://weatherlink.github.io/airlink-local-api/.  I don't know why Davis Instruments doesn't provide that information with the product.  After reading this Github article I was able to easily locate the IP from my router as well as the 'did' code.  Now I get to have some fun building a new database.  I'd still like to get it into my WeeWx system as well, though.

Thanks for posting!

I made a Python script to get the data from my Airlink, in case it's useful to anyone I posted it here:

In that package is also a script for an ESP32 that gets the data from an Airlink and uploads it to a remote webserver. Handy for people who don't have a server running on the same LAN as their Airlink.

Upload to a website is one approach, but has anyone tried to link the Airlink-data in Weewx to the uploads to WUnderground, Aeris and AWEKAS (or other similar organisations)?
WU seems to 'restrict' itself to acceptance of data from PurpleAir, while AWEKAS at it's website has descriptions 'hinting' to interface with Weewx.
Experiences? Scripts (in this forum, or elsewhere on internet)?
