Howdy,

my ISP requires me to use a different port than 22 for the automated ssh login.

Tried to specify server=myserver -p 1234, but that seems not to make its way to ssh

Any hints ?

Thanks
Oskar

There is an undocumented option 'port' that you can use:

[StdReport]
  ...
  [[RSYNC]]
    server = ...
    user = ...
    port = 1234

Thanks,
typical me .. using undocumented stuff :-)
But, looks like I am a step further.

Now getting, from syslog:

reportengine:
Found configuration file /etc/weewx/skins/Rsync/skin.conf for report RSYNC Sep  2 12:20:23 localhost weewx[12539]:
rsyncupload: rsync reported: jailshell: /usr/bin/rsync: Permission denied#012rsync: connection unexpectedly closed

that seems to be on the ISP side, correct?

No idea. Are you able to successfully use rsync from the command line? How about if you try running as root?

Oskar - a quick Google lookup says that's the message you get when you have a cPanel based ISP and you haven't permitted that in your configuration. You might want to take a look to ensure you're permitting it on on the ISP side.
