use rtl-sdr dongle with raspberry pi to collect directly from Davis ISS

I found some discussion of using an inexpensive rtl-sdr dongle for collecting on the 433MHz weather sensors.  Has anyone used the rtl-sdr dongles with a Davis Vantage Pro 2 ?

Assuming you mean 900 MHz (not 433 MHz), there is a bit of information on the weewx wiki.

I tried it but this driver and development is not up to date.
I was not able to compile firmware with European frequencies

I tried contact developer without success
