Hello All,

I run weewx on a Raspberry Pi 3.  I installed some years ago using the Debian package manager.  My weather station is a David Vantage Pro2.

I recently updated weewx using the typical 'sudo apt update'.  During the updating process, the installer asked me if I wanted to retain my weewx.conf file.  I said "YES".  After rebooting the machine, I got no updates to the web page.  Thinking that the problem was only that I had not updated the weewx.conf file, I installed the weewx.conf-5.2.0 file that was left in my home directory after the update.  The problem continued.  I then noticed that the new weewx.conf file lacked the description of my weather station.  I went back to the original conf file and copied and pasted the [Vantage] section to the new 5.2.0 conf file.  A 'sudo systemctl status weewx' reported no errors and I thought everything was working fine, but the problem continues.  Strangely, I found that the files inside the NOAA subdirectory are dated correctly; however, the files DO NOT contain new data.  The files still contain data from Nov 6 the day I updated weewx.

I include a journalctl file, the present weewx.conf file and systemctl status file.

Thanks, jjs

Your log file looked totally unfamiliar to me until I realized that it was backwards: time increased upwards. I didn't know journalctl could do that?!

Once I got the direction right, the problem was obvious: classic case of corrupted memory. To fix, see the wiki section on Corrupt station memory.

OK Tom, thanks....yes, I used the -r flag in my journalctl statement, which lists everything from most recent to last.

Thanks for the corrupt station memory fix.  I'll get on it and see what I can do....many thanks.
