easy way to readout and display Vantage pro Forecast text in standard skin?

Hi all,

is there an easy way (sample code snippet) to readout the forcast text (displayed if I hit the 'Forcast' button) out of my Vantage Pro 2 and display the text in my Standard skin!?

It's available in both the LOOP packets and in the archive record as variable 'forecastRule'. 

This is a bit-mapped variable, described in the Davis Vantage Serial Protocol (see page 23).

But, you're far better off getting a real forecast, using Matthew's forecast extension. The Davis icon is basically just using whether the barometric pressure is going up or down, along with temperature. That's it. If it was that simple, the National Weather Service would not be a billion dollar agency.

Yes...I have the forcast extension alreay installed. It would be only for fun and to see what the 'simple algoriythm' will forecast...! ;-)
