Hello

I have just bought my first Weather Station, an Ecowitt GW3002.

I am looking to use weewx to present local weather data on a new website.

Does anyone have suggestions the best way to achieve this? Web hosting options, raspberry pi, etc ?  I prefer the hosting option if possible.

Thanks

Jonathan

WeeWX typically runs on a local device (Raspberry Pi, whatever you have). If you want to display the reports on an external web host, you’ll need to transfer the data to that host. WeeWX supports this in various ways (FTP, rsync, …). For real-time data, you’ll need a skin that supports the display of real-time data, which (in most cases) uses MQTT.

See https://github.com/weewx/weewx/wiki#skins "live weather feed"

It can be done!

I use my (always on) desktop PC to upload graphs to my web-hosting
provider every ten minutes.

Typically folks run weewx on a small local computer such as a raspberry pi and configure weewx up upload to an internet facing site (hosting provider, AWS Lightsail, etc.)

I run weewx on a pi and rsync (over ssh) up to a smallest possible AWS Lightsail minimal virtual machine. Ages and ages ago I used a couple internet hosting providers but was not happy with their services nor support.  I've been very happy with Lightsail for a decade+ now.

There are probably dozens of alternate ways to get there.
