Hey all,

I'm looking for a solution to get the Davis Envoy8X (6510USB) to work with weewx or any other program running on a linux system?
So far I've tried a few things, but the best I got was the following error after installing weewx:

May 21 19:29:43 raspberrypi weewx[8930]: Starting weewx weather system: weewx.
May 21 19:29:43 raspberrypi systemd[1]: Started LSB: weewx weather system.
May 21 19:29:43 raspberrypi weewx[8945]: engine: Using configuration file /etc/weewx/weewx.conf
May 21 19:29:43 raspberrypi weewx[8945]: engine: Loading station type Vantage (weewx.drivers.vantage)
May 21 19:29:43 raspberrypi weewx[8945]: import of driver failed: Unknown hardware type 18 (<class 'weewx.UnsupportedFeature'>)
May 21 19:29:43 raspberrypi weewx[8945]: engine: Unable to load driver: Unknown hardware type 18
May 21 19:29:43 raspberrypi weewx[8945]:     ****  Exiting...
May 21 19:29:45 raspberrypi systemd[1]: Reloading.
May 21 19:29:45 raspberrypi systemd[1]: apt-daily.timer: Adding 9h 25min 41.037524s random time.

Any help or tips on this?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, there is no driver for the Envoy8X.

It is really more of an archiving tool than a piece of weather hardware. In particular, it does not pass on LOOP data, so it's model is completely different from what weewx expects.
