Running weewx 3.9.1 with mqtt extension 0.19 with Mosquitto
everything works great when I do not use mqtt authentication however as soon as I add auth things go a bit sideways. logs show that mqtt is being sent however all that is received is UV as soon as I remove auth from the config everything starts working again.

I am using the mqtt extension from the weewx documentation https://github.com/weewx/weewx/wiki/mqtt

Any one have any ideas?

I'd probably start by running weewx with debug=1 and examining the weewx host syslogs, and also check the mosquitto server's logs to see what the server-side thinks is going on.   You could also verify that you can mosquitto_sub using authentication from the commandline.

But no, if only one element is received with auth on, that's pretty strange.

Seems strange but we need to see some configurations and logs to offer any more help.

Like vince said, try a debug=1, restart weewx and let it run through a few archive intervals.

Share your MQTT config from weewx.conf and make sure to blank out any username/password information.

Which MQTT broker are you using? Have you tried a different one to verify the same issue exists?
