Hi folks,

I am making available a Docker image for WeeWX.

You can find it on the Docker hub at https://hub.docker.com/r/jgoerzen/docker-weewx/ and it is auto-built from sources at https://github.com/jgoerzen/docker-weewx.  It uses my jgoerzen/debian-base-security base image, which provides automatic security updates for the underlying OS.  It provides all you need to access a networked weather station, including Python, fonts, and rsync+ssh for uploading the data if needed.

Thanks for all the work on WeeWX.  I appreciate it.  I now use this for hosting my own WeeWX instance, and plan to keep it current.

Thanks,

-- John

Thanks, John!

Perhaps you could write up a Wiki entry about your image?

Done!

And I should note I had a bit of a braino on the Docker hub URL.  The correct one is: https://hub.docker.com/r/jgoerzen/weewx/

So I found your docker container as an option to install on my sinology DS918.  As part of the launching of the container, I must specify a volume to mount the container.

Would you have any idea what the name of the volume should be?

All you need is an empty directory which the database will be written
to. It gets mounted to /var/lib/weewx. There is info about this in the
README
