slightly related - how do I stop Google from editing my posts in realtime ?

I've noticed that Google has a 'very' annoying tendency to edit my posts while I'm typing.  This started a few months ago.  I've turned off everything I can find.

Result is I can type weewx and other technical terms (here) and it edits the blasted thing on me making my posts nonsensical.  ok, more nonsensical than normal :-)

This seems to happen in every browser and os, so it's Google 'helping' too much.   Does anybody know how to turn it off so I can have it just save what I wrote exactly without making any changes on me ?
