Well after my upgrade to Weewx 5.1 my station has broke, I think its a permission error messing with rsync being able to connect to my AWS site.

In any event I didnt really like using Lighthouse over just regular EC2 and I think I might take this opportunity to see if I can host it on ECS instead.

My question, is there an easy way to save my database and port that over so that when I reload the new forked version of the Belchertown skin that I copy over at least my weather records?

Very easy to do.   You should probably save your archive directory (db), your skins/Belchertown directly, and I generally suggest saving your generated public_html directory too (so you don't have to regenerate the NOAA reports, which can take a while if you have years of old data in your db).

See https://www.weewx.com/docs/5.2/usersguide/where/ for where things are located, which varies depending on how you have weewx installed.
