WunderUnderground had a previous PR mistake, and announce that would "kill" their WebCAM/WeatherCAM hosting option & service (aka, "WunderCAM"). Now, it seems they are achieving what they want... without announcement (thus, avoiding backslash/protest) by just making the service impossible to use. For months WunderCAM no longer functional, and some posting saying "after the latest website update" (some also reporting the "old link" used to work).

Formerly, 2 ways you could upload your WeatherCAM to Wunder:

1) Wunder do the work
You placed your direct camera image snapshot to Wunder. The catch was that the link "must end with .jpg".
Nowadays, not many cameras allows that but a "cgi" link. Therefore, this option is long gone for most.

2) WebCAM do the work
This is the option that (used to) works for most and for a while, where the camera FTP and upload to Wunder at some frequency. But after the "website update", the FTP upload still seems to work, but the images uploaded to Wunder are not in PWS website, neither can be accessed directly.

For a while searching for free WebCAM hosting options, specially after the Wunder PR camera "boohaha". And the following are further notes:

A) External free hosting
Found "lookr.com", which is still Ok but now increased Ads.
Now trying "webcam.io", but can not comment yet as I'm in a week "free full service trial" (curious to find-out what/how is free service, as Ads sometimes not disclosed).
Otherwise, still in search...

B) WebCAM with own free OEM cloud hosting
As the webcam market is flooded, some offers "free OEM cloud hosting" as differential. I have a Reolink, which is a good cam but doesn't seems to provide such option.
A new player that its cheaper seems to be creating some waves in price, functionality and free hosting service: Wyze cam (https://www.cnet.com/news/wyze-cam-the-cheapest-security-camera-ive-ever-tested-might-be-my-favorite/). I also saw "somewhere that someone" bought a cheap cam dome and make his own outdoor weathercam with Wyze (ala BloomSky, but at a fraction of the cost).

C) NAS to do the work
This would be my ultimate option. I have a Qnap and previously tried their Surveillance package, but didn't work for my purposes. Any experience feedback?

(update)

A) Besides some Ads, "lookr.com" still the best option.

B) Wyze free cloud hosting only 14 days.
