Hi all

Does anyone know if the Aercus WS2083 Weather Station which is a fine offset USB station works with WEEWX ok?

No reason why it shouldnt - it looks like a fineoffset 2080 as far as I can tell.  Running it on a Pi you may find you need a good powered hub for reliable comms - especially if you also use the USB to provide the power to the station, since the Pi's usb side is somewhat flakey.

I got one of these for Xmas and have just set it up using a raspberry pi, weewx and wunderground, works really well.

One issue I had though, and I'm not sure if anyone here knows the answer.... but it appears to use the archive_interval from the base unit over any value entered in the weewx.conf file so setting it to anything other than 30 minutes makes it default back to 30 minutes.

ie: from /var/log/syslog

"...The archive interval in the configuration file (60) does not match the station hardware interval (1800)."
"...Using archive interval of 1800 seconds"

That wouldn't be an issue if It didn't use the archive_interval value for the upload frequency to wunderground.  Any ideas if this hardware value can be changed?

Cheers,
Darren

I may have found the answer to my interval question.

Run:

sudo wee_config_fousb --set-interval=5

and then set the archive interval in weewx.conf to 300.

Checked it on wunderground and seems to be uploading every 5 minutes now instead of every 30 minutes.

Cheers,
Darren
