WeeWX 4.0 weewx-wd errors

Hi All,

New user to the group and app. I've been a longtime user of wview but it is time to move on. My website uses the Saratoga Weather PHP templates. I saw the weewx-wd skin extension as a possible solution to work with the Saratoga Weather-Display plugin.

I'm running WeeWX 4.0 and Python 3.7.3 on a clean Debian Buster install on a Netbook. For now I'm using the rtldavis driver with an RTLSDR dongle to receive data from wireless Vantage Pro 2 until I'm ready to swap over to the Wireless Weather Envoy and WeatherLink USB connected to the wview laptop.

You can see the errors when I started the service after installing the weewx-wd extension.

First attempt:

I found this guy made an update to weewxwd3.py to fix some of the errors. I copied the weewxwd3.py file over the existing one previously installed. Made it further all the way to the reportengine before stopping.

Anyone got any ideas on how to proceed to find the potential problem? Any other logs or data required to troubleshoot?

I have it on good authority that guy has WeeWX-WD working under WeeWX 4/python 2 and 3 but he just needs to tidy up a few things and package the code up as an extension. I have given him a kick in the pants.

Afraid its going to be a case of waiting, should not be too many days.

Good to hear. Thanks for the update!

When I ran the install I had no idea 4.0 was brand new. I will be patient.
