Hello.
I have had an Oregon Scientific WM200 sitting out in our garden for about five years.  The backend was a Linux server running on a large ESXi host.

About a year ago, the rain guage stopped working on the weather station.  And then about six months ago, we decommissioned the aforementioned host.

The bad news is that Oregon Scientific no longer trade in the UK (where I am located), so I'm looking for a new system.   Plan is to get it up and running with a Raspberry Pi, and MySQL from the get-go.  And then hopefully import the 'historical' data from the previous instance (which is backed-up, but on SQLLite, alas).

Can someone please recommend me a decent station, available in the UK and in the £300-£450 (US$ 386 - US$ 579) range?

Thank you.

In the UK with your budget I would recommend the Ecowitt range. It is modular so you can build quite a range of sensors into an impressive system. The Ecowitt range is fully compatible with WeeWX by deployment of Gary Rodericks’ weewx-gw1000 extension.

UK supplier is very very helpful and enthusiastic. https://weatherspares.co.uk/collections/ecowitt
